Children and Senior Portraits In The Snow At Bentley’s

It isn’t every day you can have portraits done in the snow, at least in Georgia. The snow this week gave us the opportunity to be able to do just that.  We offered free sessions in the snow on Wednesday and Thursday and had a great time getting out and playing in the snow!  It was so fun being able to photograph everyone in such a unique setting.  But, you know  Georgia weather!  You have to act fast because by noon yesterday it was almost all gone.  We just wanted to share some of our favorite images from the last two days with you here.  If it snows again plan on giving us a visit!  We can have a little fun in the snow and you can have some really unique portraits to help preserve the memories.

This week was an unusual week in the Atlanta area and luckily in our part of town it wasn’t really that bad.  We seem to make national news for all of the wrong reasons sometimes yet in all of the problems a lot of really good things happened.  The horror stories that we are hearing from all of the traffic problems and people being stranded, all night in many cases, are followed up with stories of hope and inspiration.  Like the people opening up there homes and businesses for stranded motorist to sleep and eat.  I was coming home from a convention in Florida and left on Monday afternoon and got home before anything happened.  Some of the other people that were at the convention weren’t so lucky.  One group driving back to Illinois were stranded in Atlanta and ended up sleeping in a Kroger, after being stuck in Atlanta traffic for over 8 hours.  Instead of being upset they made the best of the situation and took out all of their camera equipment and did head shots of all of the employees.  While there the manager fed everyone who was stranded hot meals and they all now have memories that will last a lifetime.

So looking back on the week we came out really good on this side of Atlanta.  We were open for business, had electricity, were able to get around town just fine and got to take a lot of great portraits.  Lets keep our fingers crossed for the next time that we come out as lucky!
