Sometimes we hear "I'll get it framed myself" from customers and we always wonder when, where and why. Many times people plan on getting it done later and just don't get around to it and it ends up being stuck somewhere like under a bed, in a closet or in a corner somewhere. Sometimes people come back to us with a portrait that has been damaged by children and magic markers, crayons or something sharp. We have also had some brought back because they have been framed with glass and it stuck to the image. Most of the time I think people think they can get it done cheaper somewhere else, like Michaels or they just don't want to spend anymore money at the time they are ordering. And just what made me think of posting this? Yesterday we had someone come in wanting something framed and they told us that Michaels was charging five times more than we were on the frame she wanted, yes I said 5 times more.
