No Reservations

That's the way I usually travel, but it isn't what I am talking about.  No Reservations is my new favorite show of the summer.  One thing that really hit home for me a few episodes ago, the one in Prague, was how the food in Yugoslavia they were saying had changed under the old Russian ruled period.  They said that they had lost a lot of the original dishes of the region and that many of the old ways of cooking and traditional dishes were gone now.  This week he was in New Orleans and highlighting some of the local dishes and traditional foods and it really hit me that it is happening in our own country too.  When I look around Winder we have nothing left but fast food chains, except for Casey's and the new Chatterbox.  So for our area about all that is left is a couple of hamburger places.  After Monday nights episode I am looking forward to going back to New Orleans in January even more because now I have some new places to try.  You know we Bentley's plan everything around our food!
