Last weekend we went to St. Simons Island to do beach portraits. It was great because it doubled as a family visit, Chance's family lives on St. Simons, and a working trip. Friday night we didn't have any appointments so we went to the beach to find some places to shoot. While I was walking around I came up on another photographer doing a session, it was fun getting to watch someone else work. I also found the place that I proposed to Chance 23 years ago. Saturday afternoon on our way back from the beach we stopped at one of our favorite pizza places, CJ's pizza down in the village, and it was just as good as we remembered it from over 20 years ago. While we were down on our number of sessions this year we still had a lot of fun and met some really nice people.
When the tide comes in at St. Simons it comes a long way up! We moved our chairs 3 times and after everyone did that we didn't have much beach left.
