This past fall we were honored to photograph this four generation session in a cotton field near our studio. It is such a joy to see a family with this many generations all in one place. The love of a family is something that is hard to find anywhere else. We are so lucky that they found us on the internet and called us to capture these, and even more lucky that the cotton fields hadn’t been harvested yet. Every year one of the hardest locations to photograph is a cotton field. It seems like as soon as they get really pretty they start cutting them all down. This year if you are interested in a portrait in the cotton fields just remember you have to be flexible and they are generally best in late October or early November. But wherever you choose to do your family portrait don’t put it off any longer. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow and a family portrait preserves your family for eternity. Future generations will be able to look back on your portrait and see a loving history of you and your family.
